Field expertise that verifies projects, not paperwork.

Direct Group Management Consulting specialises in consulting, monitoring, evaluation and field follow-up for humanitarian and development projects. It has operated from its headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, since 2022, alongside its founding office in Yemen since 2006, with a network of local teams and experts in a number of countries.

ABOUT US

Built on more than two decades of institutional experience.

Direct Group carries forward an institutional and professional experience built over more than two decades — from Yemen Direct, through Scope for Monitoring and Evaluation and DIMCO, to the founding and growth of Direct Group in its current form.

Along the way, the firm has built broad experience working with donors and humanitarian and development organisations — foremost among them the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, as well as the Kuwait Relief Society, the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charity Society and other bodies and institutions.

Our story and growth since 2006

A system that starts with needs assessment and does not stop at handover.

All services
01

Needs Assessment & Project Evaluation

Studying the real needs of target communities, analysing how well proposed projects fit the local context, and how closely they align with their stated objectives.

02

Third-Party Monitoring

Independent monitoring, follow-up and verification of project implementation, giving the donor or project owner an independent field view of progress and delivery.

03

Procedure & Procurement Verification

Following the official procedures behind purchasing, tendering and supply, and verifying that they comply with approved requirements and procedures.

04

Materials & Delivery Verification

Inspecting materials and supplies to confirm they match the required specifications and quantities, and following their delivery to beneficiaries or project sites.

05

Impact Measurement

Assessing the results a project achieved, how far the intervention reached its beneficiaries, and whether the expected objectives and outcomes were met.

06

Sustainability & Deterioration Assessment

Reviewing projects after implementation: measuring use, benefit and sustainability, and spotting signs of deterioration or the need for maintenance or further intervention.

OUR COMMITMENT

Monitoring and evaluation goes beyond confirming that an activity took place. It answers more important questions:

  • Did the project reach its intended beneficiaries?
  • Was it implemented to specification and in line with its objectives?
  • Did it achieve the expected results?
  • Are the assets and services still standing and doing their job?
  • And what difference has the project made in the lives of its beneficiaries?

That is why we provide an independent, complete field view that helps our partners make evidence-based decisions and improve the quality and sustainability of humanitarian and development projects.

WHERE WE WORK

Field experience across many countries.
